Leading Cities Barcelona has achieved a new milestone! The Barcelona division of Leading Cities has begun establishing its Local Advisory Board with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Michael Lake, CEO of Leading Cities, and David Garrofé, general secretary of CECOT.
The Regional Business Confederation of Terrassa, better known by its acronym CECOT, is a multi-employer organization created in 1978. Currently, CECOT represents eight thousand entrepreneurs and integrates 38 unions and professional associations in Catalonia. With this depth and breadth of leadership and experience in Catalonia, CECOT provides profound knowledge about the challenges, opportunities and complexities of the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
With the addition of Mr. Garrofé to the Barcelona Local Advisory Board, Leading Cities gains a valued champion and partner to establish new ties with the territory, and deepen relations between civil society, academia, and business sectors.
“It is an honor and an asset for Leading Cities to have such a prestigious organization and leader join our Barcelona Local Advisory Board. Mr. Garrofé and CECOT as a whole, will bring greater possibilities and impact to the work Leading Cities provides Barcelona and her citizens. We are always seeking to add extraordinary leaders like this to join our efforts and we are most proud to welcome CECOT,” explained Michael. Lake.
